Chapter 2

On the day of counseling I was given the slot at 1 o'clock. And just as I went into the hall for choosing my college, I was shocked to find that only single seat was available in the college which I had told before. I was asked to select three colleges and my seat in two of them was confirmed. I was relieved but not my dad, he was anxiously waiting the status of seat in the other college. And the number counted from 32 till 1 and even that seat got confirmed. And I had little hesitation in selecting that college.

One of the main reasons was that it was present in Chennai. And I got the shock of my life just when I browsed through the details of the college that I selected. It was only three years old. I had no clue on how the college would be. But since it was in the Chennai city, I had reasons to feel happy.

Chapter 1

I must say that my college was really exciting. After I completed my schooling, I was firm on one thing. I would study only in a Chennai college and not anywhere else. And I did not get great marks to get into Anna University but I was firm that I would not join any college giving donation. I felt giving donation and joining a college was just a waste of money. And before I went for the college counseling, I went and met a great man whose name I would rather not disclose.

He said I would get some nice colleges with my marks and on the day before the counseling I was in for a shock as all the seats in the colleges he mentioned had been taken. But there was college which still had 5 seats unoccupied. I was relieved and went to sleep.

IPL moved to South Africa

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has been moved to South Africa due the elections that are happening in India and combination of various other reasons. This move might be disappointing to a lot of Indians but they will also feel happy considering the fact that IPL might not even happened. Now they have the chance to catch the event on the television at least.

After it was decided that IPL would be moved out of India, South Africa and England were the contenders for hosting the mega event but what tilted in South Africa's favour was the climate and also television rights issue. This move is going to be a huge boost for the people of South Africa and also to the economy of the country. The tournament has now been scheduled to start on the April 18th.

Accident

This is one incident that I cannot forget easily in my life. The date was May 2nd and it was around four o'clock in the evening. It was the second birthday of my cousin and we were enjoying ourselves. That was when we decided to go and pick up one of my other cousin's from his grandparents place. So we took the car and just when we were about to leave, my uncle told me that it was not necessary to go and pick him up. But those words fell in deaf years as we started.

And our driver was a well experienced guy and he had been in hour house for quite sometime. And we were going on the national highway and our driver started to put down the accelerator. The speed just kept on increasing and there was a point we crossed the 100kph mark. We were terrified. I was yelling to go slow and that I would complain to my dad. But the driver kept going and just as he tried to pass a lorry. We hit an oncoming car and there was blood all over the place.
